Small businesses and charities in Western Australia may now be eligible for a one-off $150 Electricity Credit, designed to reduce electricity costs and support local operators.
This credit is available to a wide range of small businesses, including those operating within embedded networks (e.g. shopping centres, commercial precincts and mixed-use buildings).
Who can apply?
Eligible small businesses and charities must:
- Hold an active ABN
- Consume less than 50 MWh of electricity per year
- Operate from a separately metered or sub-metered premise
- Be responsible for electricity charges either directly to a retailer or within an embedded network
Embedded Network Customers
Embedded-network small businesses are eligible and can apply through the SBDC’s dedicated application process for sub-metered customers.
How much is the credit?
Eligible applicants receive a one-off $150 payment, issued directly to the business or charity by the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) once the application is approved.
Energy Intelligence does not process or apply this credit.
