$250 Power Saving Bonus

The Victorian Government has announced a one-off $250 Power Saving Bonus to help eligible households with their energy bills.

From 1 February 2021, payments will be available to households with at least one concession card holder, 

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be a Victorian residential energy consumer (i.e. have a residential electricity account). 
  • You must be receiving payments under one of the following concession programs:
    • Centrelink Pensioner Concession
    • JobSeeker, Youth Allowance, Austudy or Abstudy
    • Department of Veterans Affairs Pensioner Concession
    • Or hold a Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card

Before you start

To submit an application, you will need to have the following documents ready:

  • An Original PDF or hard-copy version of your household electricity bill from your retailer
  • Your Centrelink Customer Reference Number (CRN) or DVA card number. You can find this on your concession card or in your MyGov account

Payments will be available until 31 January 2022 and are limited to one per eligible household.
