Since the beginning of 2018 the Cal-19 and Cal-20 wholesale energy prices have been
trending lower with an exception of few spikes in January and February as a result of
high temperatures. Since mid-February Cal-19 and Cal-20 prices have flattened and
currently the electricity market is stable.

Wholesale electricity prices in South Australia have decreased significantly last year as a result of the initiatives that SA government has implemented. The Tesla battery has
been an effective tool in supporting the stability and reliability of the grid in the state, which had a positive impact on the prices. Also during summer period SA has been
burning 80,000 litters of Diesel every hour to keep lights on, this expensive exercise had
also an important impact on the prices…
