Victorian electricity market - is the worst behind us?

For all who believed the worst was behind us, the start of Autumn was a chill reminder of how fragile the Victorian electricity market is. With temperatures rising as much as 38 degrees Celsius on the 1st of March, the spot market went on a roller coaster ride. On Friday afternoon the 5min spot electricity price in VIC dropped to -$1,000 per MWh, but after short time it rose to $11,499 per MWh.
